WHAT HOUSE DO
YOU LIVE IN? by Lou Valentino
Hello, everyone. This month, I wanted to show you why some people feel that
their astrological Sun Sign does not fit them at all.
Almost everyone knows that there are 12 signs in Western Astrology. However,
there
are also 12 houses connected to each of the 12 signs and there are ruling
planets for each sign.
In order for you to be true to your Sun Sign, you would need to be born
around the time the sun falls in the house that your Sun sign rules. Most of
my clients do not have their sun placed in the house that is normally ruled
by their sun. What does all this mean to you? It means that even though you
are an Aries, you may have characteristics of another sign added to it.
Example: You're born at 12:16 PM. This time would place your sun in the 9th
house of philosophy, higher education, long-distance travelling, publishing
and foreign languages. The 9th house is ruled by Sagittarius. Therefore, the
sun is experiencing itself in the environment of Sagittarius. This person
would have a lot of the fire element in their personality because both Aries
and Sagittarius are fire signs. Because Aries is not that philosophical they
would be more interested in philosophy with this placement and their
adventurous nature would be even more adventurous. Let's say your Sun sign is
Taurus with the same birth time of 12:16 PM. Instead of being concerned about
your domestic security to the point of not travelling that much, you would be
more outgoing than the average Taurus with the Sun falling in the 9th house.
You would be a Taurus/Sagittarius and the first example would be an
Aries/Sagittarius.
The house placement of the Sun is very important when considering the
characteristics of your profile. Keep this in mind when you're reading about
your Sun sign. If you want to know more about your exact profile, have a
reading done by a professional astrologer. After all, wouldn't you really
want to know what house you are living in?
